The Future of Geauga County Transit - 2000's

This century finds Geauga County Transit prepared to meet the growing transportation needs of the County. Increased use of computerized scheduling, billing, maintenance utilizing global positioning, mobile data terminals, reduced voice traffic for instant communications to each vehicle will improve customer service, while maintaining each operators ability to deliver our passengers to their destinations on time in a safer manner. Additional plans are being developed to offer increased service hours of operation, and a commitment to increase our abilities to respond to the demands of our residents for transportation services within a changing rural county environment.

Welfare to Work programs, Human Services, and Mental Health agencies continue to develop programs which demand transportation services for the residents. From extended weekday hours, to evening and weekend service, Geauga County Transit continues to strive to service the needs of ALL residents of our County in the method of operation and in safe reliable transportation services.
